BioShock Infinite Descends from the Sky to the Tabletop

BioShock Infinite fans who bought the Songbird Edition or the Premium Edition received a small Handyman miniature, a preview of Plaid Hat Games' BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia board game. Now that the videogame came out, Plaid Hat Games could reveal what they have been working on. The Siege of Columbia puts 2 or 4 players on the sides of the Founders and the Vox Populi, battling for control of Columbia during the events of the videogame while Booker and Elizabeth tear through the city.

Sky-Hooking it around a miniature Columbia.

The full rule book hasn't been posted yet, but players will use cards to try to control territories, build an army, accomplish other goals, fight their opponents, fight Booker, and influence Elizabeth. Booker and Elizabeth are the "unpredictable" elements of the game and could force players to alter their strategies. The photos on Plaid Hat Games' site aren't big enough to really see much, but the miniatures look great so far; I'm looking at my little Handyman figurine right now. The final game will contain 52 miniatures, including the Songbird and the Zeppelin. PHG should be releasing updates about the game along with posting the rule book, and I'm hoping to get a better look at that board. As of now, though, I'm already interested.

Not nearly as cool as the Ultimate Songbird, but still pretty cool..

It might be a good idea to pre-order this because Plaid Hat Games is offering a $25 discount for pre-orders from their own online store, which seems like a good deal if you're thinking about getting this. BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia will be out in 2 - 5 months. Check out more details as they're released at Plaid Hat Games.
