DoDonPachi and Ketsui Models are Things That Exist

Those peacefully deadly Type-A and Type-B ship resin models from the insanely awesome bullet hell shooter DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou are available for ordering if you live in Japan. Wait, throw those bullets in reverse; DoDonPachi models actually exist? Holy frak-balls! These aren't just regular plastic models, these are high end 1/100 scale resin kits made by R.C. Berg Ltd. The parts are molded in different colors, which basically eliminates much of the need to paint them yourself. Unfortunately, these carry a high-end price tag of 14,700 Yen (in the neighborhood of $168). Pricey, but totally worth it to the obsessive shooter fan.

Not enough tangible Cave shooter excitement for ya? R.C. Berg also makes Ketsui resin models. They have the Type-A and Type-B Ketsui helicopters in a variety of colors. This is already too much awesome, but DoDonPachi and Ketsui models aren't all R.C. Berg has to offer; they also have the Grobda tank from Grobda and a 1/144 scale Solvalou from Xevious.

I'm just about loosing my mind over how incredible all these look. How did not know these existed? Well, since I didn't know any of these existed, I'm going to guess that some of you shooter fans didn't know about them either. For those of us without an extra grand just lying around we'll just have to wait and see if Takara Tomy will ever create some Shooting Game Historica ships of any of these. Check out the photos, but head to the R.C. Berg site for galleries for each ship.
