Fanime '12: Bluefin Tamashii Nations

The Bluefin booth usually has display cases filled with tons of Gundam kits, figures, and whatever other cool stuff they have. Compared to all the other times I've been at the Bluefin booth at conventions, I was a little disappointed in their Fanime 2012 setup. While their setup at last year's Fanime wasn't as huge as SDCC, they still had lots of stuff on display, including some fantastic customs. This year, all they had were four small display cases. There were a bazillion Gunpla boxes stacked all over the place, as usual, but they had a better display setup last year. Given all of Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA's recent announcements, I was hoping to see some of the upcoming figures they'll be distributing, like S.H. MonsterArts Rodan, the SDCC exclusive Godzilla, the recently revealed and amazing King Ghidorah, or even the Vile figure from Mega Man X. No such luck, though, as I think everything on display was stuff that was already available or just came out, which wasn't necessarily bad, just not what I was hoping for.

The first day I was there I thought maybe they hadn't finished setting everything up yet, but I as I visited the booth the other days I was there, it was still all the same. One of the display cases had three of the S.H. MonsterArts figures with Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and SpaceGodzilla. The other cases had the Persona and Mega Man figures, Tiger & Bunny, and Dragon Ball Z. Oh, and those Persona Thanatos and Izanagi figures are pretty great. Check out the photos of the Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA booth from Fanime '12 and we'll see them in full force at SDCC.

Godzilla is taking a hell of a beating.

SpaceGodzilla, the biggest of the S.H. MonsterArts figures until King Ghidorah arrives.

So that's the Godzilla display. Not bad, but I was hoping to see some of the upcoming figures.

Not only is Amuro holding a 1:1 Haro, one of the many awesome things to buy at Bluefin, there's also a small overview of the Bluefin booth.

Persona Vs. Mega Man? Now there's a crossover idea. What's that Medabot doing in there?

Tiger & Bunny got huge.

Some Dragon Ball Z figures and a random Kamen Rider.

The giant banners let you know Bluefin has Gundam.
