McFarlane Toys' Epic Halo 3 Reveal

Today McFarlane Toys revealed photos of the final painted prototypes of all the figures and vehicles in their first series of Halo 3 action figures and vehicles. The reveal of the figures reached such epic proportions that four separate websites were granted exclusive photos of the figures. The photos of McFarlane Toys' Master Chief, Cortana, the Brute Chieftain, the Jackal, Grunts, the Warthog, and the Brute Chopper are now ready to admire. The Ghost made a late appearance. As predicted, the figures rule. They look like they have tons of articulation and the impeccable attention to detail that only McFarlane Toys can do. Feast your eyes on McFarlane's awesome Halo 3 figures.

As it should, Master Chief looks very similar to the prototype photo that McFarlane Toys released a couple months ago. The Chief has a crap load of articulation so you can put him in all sorts of heroic action poses.

Cortana has a super serious party-pooper look on her face, but still has that undeniable McFarlane sex appeal even though she's see-through. It's difficult to determine how much articulation she has, if any.

This Brute Chieftain is super bad-ass. He has that big hammer and also has a ton of articulation for plenty of enraged action poses.

The Jackal looks downright maniacal. Like the Chief and the Chieftain he looks to have enough articulation for sniping-your face-off poses.

The cannon fodder Grunts will come in a two-pack. This little guy has a needler weapon for annoying pointy death.

Here is the second grunt holding a plasma pistol.

The 3-inch Warthog has a special stand for hardcore jumping action.

The Brute Chopper is one mean-ass looking ride.

The Ghost is well-equipped for shooting stuff up.

You can see more images of Master Chief and the Warthog at Spawn.com. G4TV has an assortment of images of the two Grunts. Bungie.net has additional images of Cortana, the Brute Chieftain, the Jackal, and the Brute Chopper. It's odd that they have images of the Jackal because according to Spawn.com, the Jackal was supposed to be IGN's exclusive, along with the 3-inch Ghost vehicle. However, I searched IGN for the images and found nothing. I finally turned something up and found the Ghost. I don't know why it was difficult, save for maybe IGN's confusing layout.

The figures and vehicles will be out March 2008. It may seem like a long ways away, but it's actually good that they are not coming out until then. With Halo 3 and the ridiculous amounts of Halo merchandise that is already hitting store shelves this month, it wil be good for fans to have a breather before they have to open their wallets for more halo goodies.
