Happy Godzilla Blu-ray Day!

It's Godzilla Blu-ray day! A giant number of eleven Godzilla movies were released on Blu-ray today. Eleven! Eight of Big-G's films are Blu-ray double features from Sony Pictures in their new "Toho Godzilla Collection," while the other three are single-disc releases from Kraken. All of them have been remastered in HD. If you're a big Godzilla fan like me, then this is an awesome day. Here's all the HD Godzilla out today:

All the HD Godzilla you can handle in one day.

The Toho Collection double features: Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah / Godzilla Vs. Mothra, Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah / Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus, Godzilla Vs. MechaGodzilla II / Godzilla Vs. Space Godzilla, and Godzilla: Final Wars / Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.

Single discs: Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster, Godzilla on Monster Island, and Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster.

Don't worry about the double features being too cheap, as each film is on their own disc. Personally, I'd rather have all the movies as single release, the price is right for two classic Godzilla movies ($15), plus there were many double features during DVD's heyday, so it's kind of a normal thing for Godzilla movies.

I would expect another huge Godzilla Blu-ray outing whenever the Godzilla 2014 hits the disc. Until then, a few other Godzilla films will arrive on Blu-ray with Godzilla Vs. Megalon and a re-release of Destroy All Monsters on July 22nd. Watch some classic Godzilla
