McFarlane Toys' Active Camouflage Spartan Exclusive McFarlane Toys usually can't have a Spawn line without having a figure exclusive to the Spawn.com store, and so is the case with their upcoming Halo 3 figures. Today McFarlane Toys put up on Spawn.com the pre-order for the Active Camouflage Spartan. This figure is of the EVA armor Spartan variant with 18 points of articulation, assault rifle, and grenades. The Spartan is also that clear-ish plastic for almost-hiding-in-plain-sight action. I'm not usually a fan of clear figures, but I can make an exception for this guy. The Active Camouflage Spartan also kicks off McFarlane Toys' new pre-order system. McFarlane Toys have implemented this new pre-order system so those that are registered with Spawn.com can get first purchase rights when the figure becomes available in March '08. While it is four months away, pre-order for the figure is only open from now until December 12th.
