The Halo Adventures of Spawn and his Super Spartan Friends
Spawn.com updated today with some cool stuff for Halo 3 and Spawn fans. First off is a handy list of all the upcoming exclusives for the Halo 3 Series 2 Spartan figures. There will be a total of ten Spartans in a cornucopia of Covenant-crushing colors. Spawn.com has updated prototype photos of all the Spartans that will be out in July. If there is a certain color you especially like, then McFarlane has you covered; As long as you like the chosen Spartan helmet of the figure, that is. With so many Spartans I took the lazy man's approach and just copy & pasted Spawn.com's list. The first four Spartan figures will be available at all retailers with the next six as exclusives.
I am fine with store exclusives except when they're only available at stores that no one has heard of before. Transworld and D&R Lineups? Is Transworld that skateboarding / snowboarding / motocross place? If it is I'll have to check out their online shop come July, but it would be nice to get some confirmation if they'll even have it available online. I can't figure out what the hell D&R Lineups is. I guess missing D&R's pink or Transworld's urine-colored (it's supposed to be gold) Spartan wouldn't be that bad, though.
For Spawn fans, Spawn.com uploaded the second half of Adventures of Spawn issue 2. The first 11 pages were uploaded way, way back in August '07, so you may need to re-read those pages to remember what's going on. Six months is a pretty long time for ten pages, but at least it's cool Adventures of Spawn stuff. Pages 12-22 end the stylized adventure of Spawn and his super friends. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more Spawn comics with this clean animated look, so here's hoping that we see an eventual continuation of Adventures sometime in the future. Not only are we finally able to learn the rest of the story, but Spawn.com is also running a sweet contest. You enter can win original Adventures of Spawn artwork. Five winners will be chosen to win some slick art by artists Khary Randolph, Travis Sengaus and John Landry.
