Mega Man 10 Remaining Retro With the massive success of Mega Man 9 and it's complete retro style, it's no surprise that Mega Man 10 would remain in the awesome 8-bit groove. That's right folks, Capcom have announced Mega Man 10 via the January 2010 issue of Nintendo Power. Mega Man 10 will keep the NES-style graphics and music that everyone loved from Mega Man 9... and the brutal difficulty that all Mega Man games demand. This game's story has Mega Man and friends collecting pieces for a vaccine for Robotenza, a nasty virus that causes robots to overheat and go out of control. Yes, I said friends because right from the start players will be able to select Mega Man, Proto Man, or a third mystery character. One of the bosses was even revealed today. His name is Sheep Man and he is a robotic sheep man that shoots Thunder Wool. Nintendo Power already beat everyone to the Mega Man / Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep question, so I guess we can skip that for now. Like with Mega Man 9, this is coming out on WiiWare first, but we're sure to see it on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live later on. The artwork you see below is an exclusive cover that Nintendo Power subscribers are getting instead of the newsstand cover. And that is some sexy Mega Man art right there. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it on t-shirts and some kind of Mega Man 10 NES box again. Check out part of Nintendo Power's mega-spread on Mega Man 10 for a few screenshots of new 8-bit goodness. - Shawn - 12/9/09 |
