Mega Man 9 Press Kit: Mission Accomplished Back in October of 2008, Capcom sold out its supply of ultra-rare and mega-radical Mega Man 9 press kits in 4 minutes. Mine was on backorder. It was on backorder for so long that I was sure I was not going to get one; and there was no way I would pay the ridiculous prices it was going for on eBay. Well, last week, about four months after I ordered it, my press kit finally came in the mail. Although, it was a little battle-damaged. If you have or have had NES games then you know how fragile the boxes are. It was shipped in a standard bubble envelope, but with the stability of the thin cardboard box it really should have been shipped in a box. When I opened the envelope my press kit had been a little crushed on the lower half so that the bottom flaps were bent outward and the cellophane wrapping was torn open. I was planning on opening it anyway, but studier packaging would've been be helpful. I would think that some people intending to keep theirs in extra minty-fresh condition had similar problems. It's fine, though, as it could have been much worse. Hell, I'm just happy that I finally got one because I had practically given up all hope after four months. Capcom has proven it cares about it's fan base once again and was awesome enough to fulfill all the orders. Now Mega Man 9 can be displayed proudly with my copies of Mega Man 1 - 6, looking like it was always meant to be an original NES title. - Shawn - 2/21/09 |
