New Darkstalkers Comics in January

Because of the huge fan response to Darkstalkers Tribute, Udon is bringing back the Darkstalkers for a new comic run in January 2010. The mini-series is called Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors and will, unfortunately, only be a three issue series. It sounds like the story should pick up from where previous series ended. Artist Alvin Lee will be doing connecting covers of all the characters for each issue plus there will be variant covers of Darkstalkers ladies by Emily Warren. The series will be written by Ken Siu-Chong with the art by Joe Vriens and Eric Vedder. It sucks (ha, Morrigan joke) that there will only be three issues, but I'll take what I can get. I was jonesing for some more Darkstalkers material, so I actually paid $1.99 for that horrid Battle Storm DVD by ADV Films a few months back... which has now been marked down to 99 cents! Seriously, go buy that awfulness! The Udon comics are guaranteed to be at least 200% better than that mess. (via Udon)
