Vic Viper and Solid Snake would be able to solve anything in Scribblenauts.

  • In Japan, Scribblenauts is published by Konami, so of course they had to lay on the extra awesome sauce by adding Vic Viper, Solid Snake, and a LovePlus character in the game. Characters from other Konami games have yet to be shown, if they are even in there. I suppose the Japanese version won't have an English option so we can get in on this.

  • Two more characters enter the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 fray: Hsien-Ko and Sentinel. Are there more characters? Is that all of them now?

  • Now for a bit of sad news. In 1995, Enix was closing its doors and 76-year-old woman Edith Jeter send a letter to Nintendo Power saying Im now 76 years old. I may not live long enough to see Dragon Quest VI unless someone takes action soon. Dragon Quest VI is finally being released on the DS on February 14th. Sadly, Edith passed away January 3rd. If only Square Enix would have released this game sooner.

  • If you have the patience to play though Dead space 2's Hardcore mode, you'll unlock a stupid yet funny weapon. The first Dead Space 2 DLC that isn't just extra weapons and suits is called Severed. This will have two chapters of other characters during DS2.

  • Nintendo announced Pandora's Tower. There is absolutely no info about it, except that it has a girl with a sick tattoo.

  • Udon is bringing Mega Man Gigamix to North America on May 4th, 2011. This three-volume story features every robot master from the first eight Mega Man games.

Movies / TV

  • The Heavy Rain movie will be written by Deadwood writer David Milch. There should be multiple endings in this.

  • Henry Cavill will be playing Superman in Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel movie.

Hey Kojima, remember how I gave you the thumbs up for Zone of the Enders 3 at SDCC? Well I'm also doing it for Snatcher 2 right now.

  • Hideo Kojima has been busy sharing awesome things on Twitter. First, he posted pictures of the original design document and the hand-drawn first floor map for the original Metal Gear, along with a rejected project called Metal Gear Intruder. Then there's a picture of a random girly mag. A day later, Kojima posted pictures of some development files and design documents of Snatcher, revealing that he had plans for a Snatcher 2, along with more pictures of design docs for Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

  • It's been a while since we saw anything new for Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Well, here's a new trailer. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a teaser trailer. Lighting got some nice armor since the first game. What about Final Fantasy Agito XIII? Well, that is what has been re-named Final Fantasy Type-0.

  • Duke Nukem Forever will be out on May 3rd, 2011. It's finally coming. Watch this new trailer with Prodigy music, pixelated nudity and a shit-ton of awesome.

  • New copies of Dead Space 2 will have an unlock code for Sir Isaac of Clarke's armor for use in Dragon Age II. This might be cooler than the Blood Dragon armor in Mass Effect 2.

  • Akuma and Taskmaster have joined the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 lineup. Is that it now or are there still more characters waiting to be revealed?

  • Dead or Alive Dimensions has a Metroid stage. I almost want a 3DS now.

  • Asura's Wrath has a new trailer. There's no giant space Buddha in it this time, though.

  • Hers is the first image and a bunch more from X-Men: First Class. They look good and I like the yellow and blue uniforms, but why is Mystique in the class? And Angel is a chick?

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger might return to film. He's considering a few scripts right now, but I say go all out in The Expendables 2.

Mortal Kombat

The fan-made Mortal Kombat trailer is turning into something official. Michael Jai White is returning, how about the rest?

  • The fan-made but with real actors Mortal Kombat "Rebirth" trailer is being turned into an actual series. It will be a 10-episode web series by the same guy who directed the short film, Kevin Tancharoen. Michael Jai White will also return as Jax, which is super cool. Will Jeri Ryan return as Sonya? The original trailer must have created enough buzz and hype for WB to let Tancharoen do something official with it. Shooting begins in February.

  • There's going to be a new Mortal Kombat-inspired album. It will be produced by JFK who is part of the electronic group MSTRKRFT. I've never heard of them so I'm going to say the Immortals should be back doing it. Maybe it'll be a good album, though. I still listen to the corny yet awesome originals from time to time.

  • Ed Boon wants to know what characters you want as DLC for Mortal Kombat. His suggestions are Rain, Robo-Smoke, Kenshi, Shinnok, or a new character. There shouldn't be any DLC characters since they should all be on the disc already, but as long that farting guy never makes into the game, then whatever.

  • Apparently your mom hates Dead Space 2. Really? This is the kind of ad they make for it?  The game is great on its own it and doesn't need forced controversy.

  • Hard Corps: Uprising will be out on February 16th for $15 on Xbox Live. We have to wait yet for something about the PSN version.

  • Even though the Game Boys, and DS's were not, the 3DS will be region locked. The DSi was region-locked, too, which I didn't know or forgot since I don't own one. 3DS games are currently projected to be priced at $49.99. Ouch. I know its 3D, but I already have a difficult time justifying $35 - 40 for a portable title.

  • The Dreamcast Collection will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PC. The disc will include Sonic Adventure, Space Channel 5 Part 2, Crazy Taxi, and Sega Bass Fishing. That's not much of a collection, I'd only play Sonic and Space Channel 5. No word on a PS3 release yet.

  • Ridley Scott's Alien prequel is no more, but is now something new. The script has evolved into a new original story called Prometheus that has the DNA from Alien, so it won't be tied to the Alien franchise, but will still be awesome. Noomi Rapace is still the main female lead.

  • The next bond movie is back on track and should be out in 2012. Daniel Craig will return as Bond and the movie should be picking up where Quantum of Solace left off.

  • The Missile Command movie is actually moving forward. A story and script are being worked on, but it will probably have lots of missiles.

A classic 8-Bit "Fallout Quest" would have a lot less bugs than the regular games. Maybe.

  • Killzone 3 has Malcolm McDowell, which is reason enough to play it. The new trailer shows it'll have a big story this time, too.

  • Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii sold out, but Nintendo might reprint it. It probably won't include the book, CD, or fancy box if they do make more, though.

  • If Tron: Legacy was an 8-bit game it might look like this.

  • The Tomb Raider Trilogy for the PS3 will be out on March 22nd. While Underworld is already available on its own, this is the first time Legend and Anniversary will be on the PS3.

  • BioWare has re-confirmed that there will be more DLC for Mass Effect 2. And speaking of ME2 DLC, PS3 owners can download an armor and a weapon for free until February 23rd when they become paid DLC. These two pieces were previously available as GameStop exclusive DLC for the Xbox 360 version.

  • Nintendo issued a warning that children under 6 should not use the 3DS, but now eye specialists are saying that 3D would be fine for kids.

  • When will Aliens: Colonial Maries come out? With Gearbox working on other projects nobody knows, but it won't be 2011. The game was originally scheduled for 2009.

  • The new Silent Hill is called Silent Hill: Downpour. It will have a subway system to reach areas because the world is so large this time. I bet there'll be lots of rain too.

  • Dragon Age II has its first piece of DLC, before the game is even out.
