Frogger is going to have a hell of a time trying to cross Contra street.

  • Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition looks like it could be Konami's answer to Namco's amazing Pac-Man Championship Edition games. The game will feature different skins, including Contra, Castlevania, and what resembles a Tron-like skin. I'm sure Konami has to be cooking up a Gradius skin somewhere. Hyped-up Frogger will be on PSN, XBLA, and WiiWare this Spring.

  • Ace Combat: Assault Horizon gets Macross DLC that will probably never be released in the U.S. because of the ridiculous licensing fiascos over here.

  • The next revealed Heavy Hitter for BioShock Infinite are the Boys of Silence. And they are creepy as hell.

  • Arc System Works is making an adventure game called XBlaze. This may or may not have something to do with BlazBlue.

  • Bayonetta will be a guest character in Anarchy Reins.

  • TMNT creators Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman have chimed in on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as aliens debacle. Basically, Laird said it could work if "enough truly creative brainpower" is applied it could work. I don't see that happening, but Eastman said it'll be awesome. Even with these re-assurances, with Michael Bay involved, we have plenty to worry about.

  • There's going to be another Starship Troopers movie, but it'll be a CG one, so the effects will probably look better. Starship Troopers: Invasion comes out this Summer.

A new Neo Geo portable for your pocket.

  • Despite rumors that it wasn't a real thing, SNK has confirmed that the limited edition portable Neo Geo X is coming out later this year. It's pre-loaded with 20 classic Neo Geo titles, has a 3.5" LCD screen, an SD Card expansion slot, and A/V output. It's looks cool, but it had better be at a good price, otherwise those with a Vita or PSP and a lot of Neo Geo titles from PSN might be hard pressed to pick one up. You can register your interest here, although I don't know what that may get you. Maybe some sweet Neo Geo swag?

  • Gundam Battle Operation is a free-to-play online multiplayer game coming to the PS3, of course only in Japan. The trailer for this makes it look so awesome, though. Fight on foot, in vehicles, and in mobile suits and Gundams. I'm sad that this will probably never hit the U.S.

  • Zen Studios are readying another batch of Marvel Pinball tables with the Avengers Chronicles. This pack includes four new tables based on World War Hulk, The Infinity Gauntlet, Fear Itself, and the Avengers movie. This will be heading to Marvel Pinball on PSN, Pinball FX 2 on XBLA, and to the Vita.

  • Gravity Rush has been in development for a long time given this concept video from 2008, which looks just as cool as the most recent videos.

  • Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World might be hitting XBLA. The collection includes Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV, a game never released outside of Japan before. It sounds good, but for some reason it's missing a game.

  • A Ratchet & Clank HD Collection is coming this fall. It includes Ratchet & Clank, R&C: Going Commando, and R&C: Up Your Arsenal. It will even include the multiplayer from Up Your Arsenal.

  • Trine 2 is getting an expansion with six new levels, new enemies, and new skills.

  • Xbox Live Arcade games are moving up to a 400 point Gamerscore starting in April. More Achievements for those who care.

Movies / TV

  • The surprisingly good G.I. Joe Renegades is hitting DVD on June 5th with Season 1 Volume. It'll have the first 13 episodes and movie cash for G.I. Joe: Retaliation. I'll want to hold out for a complete first season set on Blu-ray, but who knows if that'll ever happen.

  • The relentlessly teased actual Prometheus trailer is here. All those other teasers/trailers were just a warm-up.

Who will die first in that rascally rabbit's Zero Escape plan?

  • Aksys announced that Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die is coming to North America on both the Vita and 3DS, but will be renamed Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. In fact, Zero Escape is now the series that Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue's Last Reward are in. Aside from re-confirming the 24 endings, dual-language support, fully-voice novel sections, there will also be characters from 999 that will appear in VLR. This is going to be amazing.

  • BioShock Infinite will be out October 18th to blow your mind about videogames once again.

  • Here's some info on Blades of Time, the very soon to be released spiritual successor X-Blades . It actually sounds like it might be good.

  • The Silent Hill HD Collection has been delayed until March 20th, so it's just a small delay.

  • The second Avengers trailer is here to excite with whoever that enemy is with Loki. They're doing a good job of keeping it fairly secret, so far.
