Yes, Dante needs white hair... and a cheeseburger... but just maybe DmC is how he gets his white hair.

  • This video interview and the following quote from Ninja Theory's Alex Jones gives hope of a possibility of seeing Dante's white hair in the new DmC: "Part of the ethos of a reboot or retelling of an origin story is to go back and find out why certain totems of a franchise exist. We want to tell those elements of the story." So maybe DmC really is about how Dante got white hair. It could just be wishful thing on my part, but I don't intend on flying into a blind nerd rage until I don't see his white hair in the game myself.

  • The Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors pre-order bonus is a watch that the characters wear in the game. The numbers are hidden underneath the metal face, but a push of a button reveals them. It may also make your hand explode if you try to remove it.

  • LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy is now officially in the superb 3D Dot Game Heroes thanks to a recent patch.

  • Christopher Nolan actually wants to make an Inception videogame that would take place in the world of the film.

Movies

  • There's a beat-up tanker truck in Transformers 3 that looks like something from a Mad Max movie, but is apparently not a character you think it would be. Spoiler alert! Supposedly the truck is Megatron, which would be very weird. As long as the movie is better than the crap-tacular RotF, I don't care what Megatron is, even if it doesn't work.

Giant space bugs! And jetpacks!

  • Giant space bugs will be returning to terrorize the planet in 2011. After being teased with a teaser site for a couple weeks, D3 has officially announced Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. The first game was only for the Xbox 360, but this one will be out for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • The new Devil May Cry game, called DmC, has Dante as an emo teen with black hair. It's being developed by ninja Theory, so it should be good. Maybe this is the story of how Dante's hair became white. Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Devil May Cry, does not like Dante's new look.

  • Capcom announced some crazy new action game called Asura's Wrath. Looks awesome!

  • The new Itagaki-less Team Ninja announced Ninja Gaiden 3. It'll be for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 this time. They also announced, or re-announced, a game called Ni-Oh.

  • Holy crap there's going to be a new Steel Battalion game. But, it's for Kinect, which I have absolutely no plans on buying.

  • I don't know what PixelJunk Lifelike is, but this trailer is weird.

Movies

  • Three pieces of art are apparently concept art from the live-action Voltron movie. It looks like they're taking a live-action Transformers approach for the look, which would be crappy, but we'll have to wait and see what the actual movie Voltron will look like.

Those cats really know how to get around.

  • Toro and Kuro rode a Wanzer from Front Mission Evolved this week. The game appeared on the Weekly Toro Station where Toro and Kuro talked about big-ass mechs in their always hilarious style.

  • BioWare has been mining data from Mass Effect 2 about the way we played it and come up with some crazy stats. Some of the stats make sense, like more people played the soldier class than any other class combined. Others are just completely insane, though. Two PC players played the game 28 times, while four Xbox 360 players played it 23 times each. How do these people have that much time on their hands?

  • Yes, Mega Man Universe is going to be like a Mega Man LittleBigPlanet. You'll get to make your own stages and Mega Man characters. Sounds cool.

  • Gundam Musou 3 (Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3) was announced and will feature cel-shaded graphics and a few new characters. The game will be shown off at Tokyo Game Show.

  • Yang and Yun have been added to the arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV. Let's hope there's a free update coming with both of them for the home consoles.

  • The Japanese box art for Metroid: Other M has a slipcover with a window in Samus' helmet visor, so you can slip on and off her armor. In an interview with IGN, Yoshio Sakamoto reveals how Samus became a woman. Someone just suggested it as a surprise for the player near the end of production.

  • The PlayStation turned 15 and the Dreamcast turned 11 this week. Yay game system birthdays!

Movies / TV

  • The first photos of January Jones as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class have her all covered up. Usually the White Queen is wearing outfits that show her boobage.

"Where do you expect me to hide anything in this outfit, Bats?"

  • There are brand new screenshots for Batman: Arkham City featuring Batman fighting thugs, Catwoman and her breasts, Two-Face being angry, and Harley Quinn standing around. Apparently the game will have some kind of multiplayer.

  • The gameplay for Mega Man Universe has been revealed in a trio of videos with introductions by Keiji Inafune. It looks like Mega Man but with a LittleBigPlanet vibe, which is cool. Mega Man's jump doesn't look right, though. You'll be able to play as Ryu and Bad Box Art Mega Man, but has anyone ever actually wanted to play as Bad Box Art Mega Man?

  • Outland is an amazing looking platformer that uses Ikaruga's polarity trick. The developers even stated that Ikaruga (and Metroid) were their primary influences.

  • Zen Studios is finally making Pinball FX comparable to the awesome Zen Pinball on the PS3. All users will get a free Pinball FX 2 upgrade on October 13th that will make Pinball FX more like a platform and include new achievements.

  • Tokyo Jungle is some kind of action-adventure game where animals fight one another to survive in a deserted Tokyo in the year 20XX. What an amazing and bizarre concept.

  • Microsoft has finally improved the D-pad on the Xbox 360 controller, but it'll cost you. The new controller will be bundled with a Play 'N Charge kit for $65. Ouch.

  • Xbox Live will have a price increase to $60 a year on November 1st. Why? With all the intrusive ads there's no reason for an increase.

  • The Tron Evolution Collector's Edition will include a Light Cycle model by Sideshow Collectibles for $130. Or you can buy one of those Light Cycles that fit the new Tron Legacy action figures for $15.

  • Christopher Lloyd will return to voice Doc Brown in Telltale's Back to the Future games. Screenwriter Bob Gale will also be around as a story consultant.

  • A new Namco Museum Megamix collection for the Wii looks to have many of the same games as the previous release, but it does have Pac-Man driving a Grobda tank, so there's that.

Movies / TV

  • Steve Blum is apparently voicing Starscream in Transformers Prime, which would be weird. Can he do a higher pitched ear-grading voice? Or will Starscream have a lower "Steve Blum" voice?

  • Darren Aronofsky might direct Wolverine 2, which would be incredibly awesome.
