  • Perhaps more terrifying than Pyramid Head, Silent Hill's Robbie the Rabbit will be a 1/6 scale statue to stare at you while you sleep. Based on its appearance in Silent Hill 3, Robbie can hold the included pipe or a chainsaw with the the words "To You My Dear" printed on the bloody blade. If you pre-order through AmiAmi, you'll also receive a canister of Silent Hill green tea. Robbie is out in February.

More terrifying than Pyramid Head.

  • NECA has released new photos of Predator Series 10, the Kenner homage wave. I love these updated versions of Lava Planet Predator, Nightstorm Predator, and Hive Wars Predator. Series 10 will be shipping to retailers soon.

  • First 4 Figures is making a big 15" Tanooki Mario statue. There will be an exclusive version with an optional scarf and a ?-block with the Tanooki leaf. Mario looks way too happy to have Tanooki powers, but would look even happier if First 4 gave Mario a huge nut sack like Tanooki are known to have.

  • The Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes opening trailer is now in English, featuring Kiefer Sutherland as Snake who, well, sounds like Kiefer Sutherland. David Hayter's Snake voice was different than his normal voice, so he sounded like Snake. I'm sure I'll probably get used to the voice eventually, but I miss David Hayter.

  • Valve released images of their new Steam controller and it looks weird as hell. It has dual trackpads, a touchscreen, buttons placed in strange spots, and will support all Steam games.

  • Treasure says there is good news about Ikaruga coming soon. I hope it's actually good and not just news of a phone port or something.

  • Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter is almost done. Many goals and new bonuses have been added, like a physical disc copy, an NES or Famicom cartridge USB drive with the game, and choosing what the Co-op character Call looks like.

  • Studio Canal will be releasing Blu-ray Steelbooks of Hayao Miyazaki's films in the UK. The first four will be Nausicaš: Of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, and Ponyo. These are looking so good that I might have to buy them and swap in my U.S. discs. Except for Ponyo. Ponyo was terrible.

I could deal with the Brit's weirdo spelling of Neighbor for this beautiful Totoro Steelbook.

  • I didn't think we'd see a Need for Speed movie trailer so soon, but apparently it's been speeding its way into production. It seems to serious for its own good, but maybe it's going for the slightly more serious tone of NFS: The Run or Carbon. It looks to have lots of police and racing mayhem in the Need for Speed games, though.

  • For those who enjoy downloadable hats in their team combat comes ThreeA's first Team Fortress 2 figure, the Robot Heavy. The Robot Heavy is 1/6 scale at 12" tall, has over 30 points of articulation, has LED eyes, includes the minigun, and is available in red or blu color schemes. The Bambaland exclusive versions include boxing gloves for some Team Fortress robo-boxing. The figures will be available on September 26th in singles or as a discounted two-pack.

Does a Robot Heavy still enjoy a Sandvich?

  • Titan Entertainment will be bringing little 3" Battlestar Galactica Titans vinyl figures in May 2014. The first series will have thirteen blind-boxed figures and four rare chase figures. I hate that these are blind-boxed, but hopefully we should be able to get a full-set from ordering a case. Cylon Raider Scar even has his own little figure! Classic BSG characters will get figures eventually, but right now they're mostly focused on the 2004 BSG.

  • The Age of Ultron Minimates box set features the first Spawn Minimate... kind of. Angela debuted in Spawn comics, and even though she's in the Marvel universe now, I'm still considering her the first official Spawn Minimate.

  • Watch Aeris die all over again! One of Lightning's cosplay outfits in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is Aeris' from Final Fantasy VII. The trailer for the outfit shows Lightning dieing while wearing it. That's cold, Square Enix, but also kind of funny.

  • Hiroshi Yamauchi, the man who ushered Nintendo into the world of videogames, ran the company for a huge 53 years, and hired the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto, has died at 85. I can't even imagine how the world of videogames would be different without him.

  • DuckTales Remastered is now getting an actual retail disc release on November 12th. The PS3 previously got a box for the download code, but now the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U are getting a disc. Now I wish I hadn't opened my retail box wit the code in it.

  • I love the old Killer Instinct games, but so far I haven't been able to get into any hype for Killer Instinct for the Xbox One. It's probably a combination of the free-to-play model and that it's only on the Xbox One, a system where Microsoft was previously anti-gamer. Sure, they changed their tune, but I'll always remember what they did. Anyway, the new trailer shows off new character Sadria and has a teaser of B. Orchid at the end. Orchid is wearing goggles for some reason. I wish Killer Instinct was coming to the Xbox 360, then I could probably get excited about it.

  • Sega has bought Index Holdings, so Sega now owns Atlus. Hopefully good things come of this. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple Persona characters in the next Sonic Racing game, as ridiculous as that sounds.

  • A Bayonetta anime is coming from Gonzo. I'm a little surprised it too this long to get an Bayonetta anime going.

  • This new Dark Souls II trailer promises more punishment. There will also be a Collector Edition with a metal case, soundtrack CD, cloth map, art book, and 12" warrior statue. The way that Dark Souls sold out, you better get your pre-order in now.
