SDCC '12: Ni No Kuni Wizard's Edition

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is the collaborative game between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli which has been looking absolutely stunning since it was first revealed. The graphics are basically just like a Ghibli movie, which is an amazing feat. Namco Bandai is selling a exclusive Wizard's Edition of the game exclusively on their web store and had it on display at SDCC. It includes a 300+ page hardcover Wizard's Companion, a Drippy plush, two exclusive DLC familiars., and of course the game. They started Ninostarter to get more stuff added to the Wizard's Edition. The more people that pre-order the edition, the more goodies get added to it. So far they hit their first goal and a set of five Ni No Kuni prints will be added to all Wizard's Editions. The second goal is a physical golden coin.

Also on display were a Mite plush, Wizard cape, and wand, but none of these items were for sale and whether or not they'll actually become available at some point is up in the air. Personally, I think if they put the Mite plush as an added bonus item for a goal then they might get more pre-orders for the Wizard's Edition. The Mite plush looks like a cool little character. Maybe if goal 2 is achieved they'll add a goal 3 with Mite plush. Either the Ninostarter or goal 2 ends at the end of the month, it's not very clear which, but the game will be out on January 22nd, 2013.

Drippy's got to have a super strong nose to pierce a lantern on it.

If Namco adds that Mite plush to the Ninostarter there could be a surge in pre-orders.
