SDCC '12: Street Fighter X Tekken Minimates

Thanks to the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Minimates, we got to see a lot of Capcom characters as the stylized 2" figures that we never would have seen otherwise. Diamond and Capcom have teamed up once again for Street Fighter X Tekken Minimates, letting Tekken characters get the Minimate treatment for the first time. It's the power of Capcom and Street Fighter helping others.

Crossing Street Fighter and Tekken with Minimates yields awesome results.

On the Tekken side we'll get to see Kazuya, Heihachi, Yoshimitsu, Lili, Hwoarang, Julia, Nina, King, Marduk, Steve, and best of all, Kuma. Minimate Kuma is awesome and I can only hope that a Minimate Panda is being planned. On the Street Fighter side we have Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Cammy, Zangief, Sagat, Guile, Poison, Hugo, Rolento, Abel, and Rufus. A few of the Street Fighter characters got Minimates in previous lines, but it looks like they might be a little different this time. There are a ton more characters that could be made yet, so I hope we get to see a lot more SFxT Minimates crossing the production line. I wonder if the guest characters of Toro, Kuro, bad box art Mega Man, Cole from Infamous, and Pac-Man could potentially be made as Minimates, or if that would just be too much of a licensing nightmare. It would certainly be a cool thing is they could get made, though. Series 1 of the Street Fighter X Tekken Minimates should be out soon, in Toys 'R' Us and specialty shop assortments.

Minimate Kuma is awesome. Also, Yoshimitsu is drunk.

How can Minimate Rufus be so fast with all that mini-fat?

Will we finally get to see what King's face looks like under the mask?

Minimate Zangief is the pride of Russia.

It's too hard to tell if the Poison Minimate is a trap.
