SDCC '13: Super Street Fighter X Sanrio Turbo

The Street Fighter X Sanrio collaboration was raging on at the Toynami booth with Hello Kitty dressed in the full fighting gear of most of the original World Warriors. Toynami was showing off a ton more Street Fighter X Sanrio stuff than last year. They had Hello Kitty as Guile, Cammy, Ken, Dhalsim, E. Honda, and Zangief, along with the Ryu, Chun Li, and M. Bison shown off last year. Oh, and Zangief Hello Kitty is basically the best thing ever. It's so unbelievably awesome it kills me. The only original World Warrior not to have a plushie yet is Blanka. I'm not sure why there isn't a plush Blanka Kitty yet, but there needs to one. There is a little Blanka Kitty figurine, along with the other originals plus Cammy and M. Bison. A few of the figurines have alternate colors, too for 2-player action. Of course, there also needs to be the other three original bosses with Balrog, Vega, and Sagat. I need to see Sagat Kitty with an eye patch and big scar. I also need to see a Vega Kitty with a removable mask. Toynami is doing a fantastic job with these and is turning girls into Street Fighter fans and men into Hello Kitty fans.

Guile's theme goes with everything, especially Guile Kitty.

Dat beard!

Another new thing were the mini figurines where you can pop the head off and stick in your headphone jack to decorate your phone with. That's kind of neat, I guess, but I'd probably just leave the heads on and leave them as mini figurines if I ever got them.

Toynami had two the Street Fighter Sanrio exclusives this year with an amazing Akuma Hello Kitty and Badtz Maru as Ryu. AKuma Kitty is amazing with the upwards ponytail, prayer beads. Badtz kind of looks like a basketball player, but at least a Sanrio character other than Hello Kitty got a plush. Akuma Kitty sold out very quickly, which wasn't surprising considering how fast Alpha Chun Li Kitty sold out last year. There were still some Badtz Ryu plushies available on Sunday, so obviously Badtz isn't nearly as popular as the ol' HK.
