SDCC '14: Godzilla MonsterArts and Minimates

The Godzilla S.H. MonsterArts display at Bluefin Tamashii Nations wasn't nearly as big this SDCC as previous years, but there are still amazing Godzilla figures coming out. The 2014 Godzilla was on full display with quite a cool display base. I'm digging the accessory sets for the Godzilla MonsterArts. These sets help to give a better sense of scale of the Kaiju and give some awesome options for dioramas.

At the other end of the the exhibitor hall was the Bluefin Distribution booth with a set of three candy toy figures of Godzilla 2004, Godzilla 2014, and Kiryu. These looked a lot better than I thought they would considering their "candy toy" classification.

Meanwhile, at the Diamond Select booth were the awesome Godzilla Minimates. I love these little guys. These do a perfect job in capturing the older classic look of Godzilla and the other Kaiju in the Minimate form. The Series 1 box out in September includes Godzilla, Mothra, Gigan, and Titanosaurus. The Series 2 box set is out in October with Mechagodzilla, Jet Jaguar, Hedorah, and... maybe another Godzilla? I'm not sure what the fourth figure swill be in Series 2.

Diamond Select also had the upcoming banks on display and the badass Mechagodzilla bottle opener. I'm not a big fan of busts in general, so I'm not that into the bust banks, but that full figure Mechagodzilla bank is pretty cool. Check out more Godzilla MonsterArts and Minimate photos below.
