First Photo of Gen from Street Fighter Movie

The G.I. Joe movie isn't the only geeky movie we're looking forward to. There's also Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. The first photo of the movie was released at the Street Fighter blog and it's a little bit of a surprise; Robin Shou as Gen, the wise old ex-assassin who killed a man in front of Chun Li. While he doesn't look a lot like the Gen from the game, the blog states he is "damn near unrecognizable" in full makeup. So that would mean he is not in full makeup in this photo then, right? This photo doesn't get me as excited for the movie as seeing the Snake Eyes photo for the first time, but it definitely works for me and it's good to see Robin Shou in another movie. We can't tell until we actually see him in action, but I think he'll make a great Gen. Robin Shou is best known for playing Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat movies. It's a little weird that he is now in three fighting game movies. What was the third? He has a small part in the DOA: Dead or Alive movie. What fighting movie will he be in next? There's still Tekken. Head to the Street Fighter blog for some insight into the movie.

It seems like the movie Gen may have the game character's leukemia. Well don't let him die in the first movie because Robin Shou needs more acting gigs and should keep this one as long as possible.
