Vertical Shooter Gets Wider and Longer on PS3

Cyber Front will be widening the 2008 vertical shooter Mamoru-kun wa Nowareteshimatta for release on the PlayStation 3 in March 2011. The shooter was already released on the Xbox 360 by G.Rev but, like all vertical shooters on the system, had side art to cover the extra space on a 16:9 display. For the PS3 version, the whole game is being widened, so all the gameplay takes place on the entire screen and not just the middle. The title of the game is also getting a bit longer and will be known as Mamoru-kun wa Nowareteshimatta: Meikai Katsugeki Wide Version. The Xbox 360 version had two downloadable characters which will be included in the PS3 version, as well as something new called Meikai Katsugeki Mode. I don't remember hearing of the game before, but it looks like you walk around as some kid who shoots demons to collect candy-colored treats. And everyone loves candy. (via Andriasang)

Mamoru-kun wa Nowareteshimatta: Meikai Katsugeki Wide Version is a very long title.
