Wizard Pinball -Morpheme/Mforma (2003) -played on a Sanyo 8200
It’s pinball from the pre-school gaming ghetto. My Thoughts: One look at Wizard Pinball and you’ll wonder what two-year-old won Morpheme’s “Design our Latest Game” contest. That roaring red monster, the fearsome blue skull, the purple cat (I think it’s a cat), and Inky the Ghost from Pac-Man are the most horrifying monsters I’ve laid eyes on. That child’s nasty creations on the Wizard Pinball machine give me the chills just thing about them. Aside from the Boo-Berry marshmallow crew there isn’t much to the game. The machine itself is very bland and sparse. There are a couple of ramps and some bumpers that turn into angry faces when hit. You can spell “SPELLS” for points and if you’re lucky you can get your ball mutated or shoot the big red baddy. Shooting the ball in to the cat’s mouth brings on the slots… of doom! The slots give you extra points and sometimes an additional monster pops up from the trap door. Oh boy! The ball physics are decent and the game is playable, but it's is so boring and looks like a crappy drawing on a placemat. Wizard Pinball is a low frills no excitement kind of game. Leave it be and download a better game. Score: 4.5 -Shawn |
